But what if we told you that you could elevate this classic treat to a new level of decadence? Enter our Decadent Raspberry Hot Chocolate recipe, a delightful fusion of flavours and luxury. Our Raspberry & Rose Preserve is now exclusively available in our new Sweet Collection Trio Box

As you whisk in the hot water, a frothy topping emerges, and the raspberry's character dances on your taste buds while the subtle scent of rose adds an element of surprise. This might be your new favourite warm afternoon drink. We've even included an option to add your favourite Amber rum.

The Magic Ingredients

Here's what you'll need:

  • Dutch-Processed Cocoa Powder: Start with the finest Dutch-processed cocoa powder. Its rich, deep flavour sets the stage for a luxurious experience.
  • Granulated Sugar: Adds a touch of sweetness, the perfect balance to complement the rich cocoa.
  • Whipping Cream: the secret to creating the velvety texture that elevates this hot chocolate.
  • Raspberry & Rose Preserve: The star is our Raspberry & Rose Preserve from the Sweet Collection Trio Box. This preserve elevates the every day with the vibrant notes of raspberry and the subtle hint of rose.
  • Boiling Water: Bring all these ingredients together.
  • Amber Rum (Optional): For an extra touch of luxury and a hint of warmth, you can add a shot of Amber Rum. It's optional and pairs nicely with the raspberry.

Recipe: Raspberry & Rose Decadent Hot Chocolate - Serves 1

Adapting to Your Preferences: Use your favourite plant-based milk instead of the water and cream combination for a vegan version or a non-dairy creamer and water combination.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ tbsps of Dutch-processed cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp of granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp of whipping cream
  • 2 tsp of our Raspberry & Rose Preserve from the Sweet Collection
  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • 2 tbsp (1 shot) of Amber Rum (optional, we like Appleton).

Directions:

  1. Start by adding the cocoa powder and sugar to a large mug. Use a small whisk to blend them until no lumps remain.
  2. Pour in the whipping cream and add the Raspberry & Rose Preserve. Whisk the mixture until it becomes a smooth paste.
  3. Top off your mixture with the boiling water and whisk it together to create a light froth. Add a shot (2 tablespoons) of Amber Rum if you want an extra indulgence.
  4. Carry your decadent Raspberry Hot Chocolate in your favourite mug to the best seat in the house, and enjoy it with your favourite book or movie.
